The foundation of S1ngle is driven by two major factors:

(a) disappointing matches on Dating Apps 

(b) poorly organised dating events
 

Finding a partner can be significant investment of time and more so when you are swiping but not matching with the right potential. People then generally resort to face-to-face dating events but too many of them are not thought through properly.

Sam who is the founder of S1ngle was disappointed after attending poorly organised dating events. Often attendees would check-in to the event and there was no format, which meant people had to approach each other for conversations. This may be suitable for extroverts but introverts struggled and especially ladies. To make matters worse the background music drowned out conversations. Overall these events felt like a cattle market rather than a sincere environment where you would find a life partner. Hence, S1ngle was born.
